Principal's Foreword

Mrs Chua.jpg

Pasir Ris Secondary School (PRSS) is into an exciting stage of growth.  Our strategic focus is on nurturing Pasirians to be Independent learners, Confident Leaders and Caring Citizens through a holistic experience grounded in the 5 core values encapsulated in PRIZE – Pride, Responsibility, Integrity, Zeal and Empathy.

Our distinctive programmes, which include the Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in the Humanities and English Language as well as the Learning for Life Programme (LLP) in Music and the Performing Arts, provide interesting and authentic experiences for our students to acquire 21st Century Competencies.  Indeed, globalization and technological advances will cause disruptions and pose new challenges for Singapore and our young must be equipped with the knowledge, skills, values, traits and dispositions to navigate the complexities of the future and contribute to the Singapore Story.

We warmly welcome our new Secondary 1 cohort and their parents into the PRSS family.  At PRSS, we believe that it takes a whole village to educate a child.  Hence, partnering parents and the community will be key to bring out the best in every child.  We would like to thank all our partners in education, especially our School Advisory Committee (SAC), Parent Support Group (PSG) and alumni for their unwavering support for and contribution to the growth of Pasirians past and present.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish every Pasirian an enriching and enjoyable journey at PRSS, as you learn alongside your peers and teachers to fulfil your dreams and aspirations.  Participate fully in both the academic and co-curricular programme, including classroom discourse, project work, CCE lessons, learning journeys, leadership camps, CCAs etc.  Lots of exciting programmes await you, each specially designed by our team of dedicated teachers.

Take pride and responsibility in all your endeavours!

Best Wishes

Grace Chua (Mrs)
